Staff Site Reliability Engineer
This role is permanent, you’ll need full working rights. It will initially be remote, but with the idea to move to a hybrid environment and can be in Sydney OR Melbourne.
Are you a Senior SRE working in a Technical Lead capacity without the title? Perhaps you’re already a Staff Engineer but working for a business who have miss-sold SRE or who don’t give you any autonomy to make decisions? Your looking for a new challenge and have your own ideas about setting up a SRE function.
This role will allow you to take the leading an SRE practice, working on applications that already have 1 million users and is growing. You’ll lay the foundations and build from the ground up, you’ll have a leadership team that will give you the autonomy around the core pillars of SRE. This role will be a hands on role, and have a focus on Engineering and Operations, so you’ll need to be a capable coder, but you’ll also need to be able to influence and educate engineering teams and stakeholders.
You’ll work to define SLO/SLA’s targets and implement them , build a culture around Post Mortems, Incident response playbooks and eliminate Toil through automation practices and tooling.
There’s already 1 Senior SRE in place, with a Platform team running in parallel, and with headcount increases coming think and fast.
