Job Overview:
As a Senior Jira (Atlassian) System Administrator, you will assume a pivotal role in streamlining business operations through administration, and support of Atlassian userbase, with a specific emphasis on advanced system configuration. This critical position demands a fusion of technical expertise and exemplary communication and problem-solving skills to control complex business workflows. Moreover, your responsibilities will extend to the enhancement and adaptation of Jira workflows to align with the evolving needs of the business.
Key responsibilities:
- Implement and manage sophisticated Jira configurations to optimise functionality for diverse business processes.
- Ensure seamless data flow by integrating Jira with other critical systems and configuring third-party tool integrations.
- Tailor Jira Service Desk configurations to meet specific service management needs, implementing automation rules and SLAs.
- Administer user access and permissions at scale, providing training and support on Jira’s advanced features.
- Monitor and optimize Jira performance for large user bases, addressing bottlenecks and enhancing system scalability.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards within the Atlassian platform, conducting regular audits of user access and permissions.
- Develop custom scripts for automation, utilising various tools to streamline processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in application support, implementation, and configuration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience administrating and configuring Jira and other Atlassian products.
- Experience doing advanced configuration of Jira for diverse use cases.
- Experience in a Business Analyst, Delivery or Developer role would be advantageous.
