Position Purpose
The Change Management Specialist plays a key role in ensuring large scale projects (change initiatives), are delivered successfully on time, on budget and in line with project objectives. The role focus on the change process and impact to the team.
 The role is primary responsible for creating and implementing stakeholder engagement and change management strategies that maximise team  adoption and minimise resistance. The Change Management Specialist will work to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilisation and greater proficiency of the changes that impact employees in the organisation to increase benefit realisation, value creation, ROI and the achievement of change objectives.

The role is additionally responsible for effective communication of project progress, risks and matters requiring attention;

  • providing support to the Project Manager and track leads or equivalent
  • regularly reporting against the change management plan and
  • cross business unit collaboration to support change initiatives.    

Requirements for the role;

  • A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Exceptional communication skills (written, digital and verbal). Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Excellent active listening skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere
  • Organised with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills
  • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organisation
  • Familiarity with contemporary project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
  • Experience with large-scale organisational change efforts
  • Change management certification or designation desired
