We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our Enterprise clients for a Platform Engineering Lead. This role is a Technical Leadership role based in Melbourne, so you will need to be based in Melbourne and be open to a Hybrid environment.
We are looking for either someone with strong Technical leadership and and who has experience in designing, building and supporting monorepos for Infrastructure for multiple engineering teams to consume.
This is a key role on our Platform Engineering team, we are looking for someone who:
- Has a deep understanding of microservices architecture on Azure.
- Has a deep understanding of Terraform.
- Has a deep understanding of Azure DevOps.
- Has a good understanding of .NET APIs and .NET Function Apps.
- Has a good understanding of object-oriented design, ideally with some professional experience.
- Has working knowledge of Azure API Management (APIM).
- Is able to provide thought leadership and coaching to other team members (no direct reports).
Key Responsibilities:
- Refine the “software” and “deployment” architecture of our internal developer platform codebase (Terraform code, YAML, pipelines) with a focus on repeatability, evolvability, composability, readability, user experience, etc.
- Lead the team in improving the self-serviceability of our internal developer platform, including the creation of end-user documentation and simplifying our service catalogue.
- Work with migration and software development teams to identify and develop key hosting and deployment patterns.
- Advocate for and engage in developer outreach for the platform.
