Role description:
With this new role we are looking for a Business Analyst with strong documentation skills who can map and translate.
As part of the digital delivery team within this major construction project, you will identify end-to-end workflow processes, understand and document upstream and downstream systems, as well as undertake data mapping and gathering of general project requirements.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Working with various departments/areas within this major construction project
- Working closely with business and technical partners to understand and document software requirements
- Working with business stakeholders to understand problems and opportunities; impacts and outcomes
- Ensuring the business and technical components of the solution collectively provide the outcome required
- User story documentation and defining acceptance criteria
- Analyse existing business processes, identifying opportunities and strategies to improve business efficiency, and drive business process re-engineering initiatives
- Prepared detailed documentation such as specifications, business procedures, testing and system/process handover etc.
- Playing a key role in business change management to ensure successful transition, adoption, and realisation of business benefits post production rollout
Background and experience required:
To be successful in the role, you will have high-level interpersonal skills used to articulate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders. You will also have the ability to efficiently and accurately handle high volume and variable workloads to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Proven experience as a technical business analyst
- Strong business and commercial acumen – ability to transform the WHAT into the WHY
- An analytical mindset, and is able to break a complex problem into pieces, ask the right questions, and propose recommendations
- Have a solid experience in eliciting business, functional and non-functional requirements as user stories and acceptance criteria that provide a solid foundation for the design and implementation of appropriate solutions
- Adaptive style and ability to influence outcomes with stakeholders
- Team player with excellent communication skills
