About the role:
 

This team is responsible for building and maintaining a site & experience that is a core service for Australians. As the UI Designer, you’ll take ownership of a new design system, you’ll be responsible for upholding the UI strategy and design standards for the team. They have both web & mobile assets however this will be largely web based. 

You will work closely with the UI team, Head of Design, Product & UX Leaders  to provide UI solutions in line with our strategic direction, helping to ensure consistency of their digital products and services. You won’t be on the tools per say but will need to have built and managed highly complex design systems in the past. 

Skills & experience:

  • 7 years in UI / Product Design roles
  • Some direct management experience 
  • Excellent knowledge of the design process including design methodologies, principles and design systems  
  • Experience designing systems with a lot of content
  • Experience working closely in cross-functional product teams throughout development from planning and creation to delivery
  • An impressive digital portfolio, demonstrating a range of web design across various customer touch points
  • Exceptional stakeholder management experience and have an ability to partner with other areas of the organisation. 
  • Be able to develop the strategy and future of the DS.
