Android Technical Lead

Our client is a Fintech scale-up which is scaling both locally and overseas. They’re on the lookout for an experienced hands-on Staff Engineer (Android) to help scale their mobile platform to the next level.
  
About the role:
  
This role will see you partner with other technical leaders & product stakeholders to drive the overall alignment, capability and quality of the software. You’ll also sync with other engineering leaders across the organisation to make sure the roadmaps are aligned.
  
This will be the most senior “hands on” positions within the business so technical direction & solution design will be a core focus. Being a small business, you’ll be a contributor to the application and will also have to autonomy to make technical decisions.
  
The Tech:
  

• Expertise in Android development using Kotlin &/or Java, with a deep understanding of Android SDK, architecture patterns (MVVM , MVP) and best practices
• Experience with Agile methodologies, CI/CD principles, and version control systems (eg. Git)
• API Development experience
• Working with Android UI Frameworks
• Any AWS experience highly regarded

You have experience either leading or being part of a team that has shipped *quality* native mobile apps. Moreover, you like getting things done, and care about how they get done. In addition to this, you have a strong product and customer focus, crave a strong tech culture, and enjoy writing good quality code. On top of this:
