Last night, the SRE Melbourne community came together for a no-holds-barred examination of the CrowdStrike incident. We didn’t just talk about the situation; we dissected it, put it under a microscope, and probably made it rethink its life choices. 🔍🤨
Frances Rees, globetrotting Staff SRE, and Sarah Geisler, Senior Staff SRE with a resume to die for, led the charge. Engaging and highly knowledgeable, these Google gurus sparked lively discussions that left us with plenty to chew on. 💭🍽️
It was great to see a mix of familiar and fresh faces in the crowd. We tried something new this time—a more chatty, back-and-forth setup—and boy, did you all run with it. From Crowdstrike post-mortems to staged rollouts and regulatory changes, we covered it all. The night flew by, didn’t it? ⏱️
