Like all great gatherings, it went down at Propel Ventures. Like 90s Keanu hair, we were wild, free, and defying all the rules. No sooner had our pizza-to-beer ratio reached critical mass, our special guests took the stage. 🍕🍺
Enter Tim Kotsiakos and Ben Beagley from MASS. Fun fact: Tim last spoke at DesignOps in 2018. Last night, we found out what MASS has been up to in the years since, plus a recap of those early days. It was a walk through their greatest hits, showcasing the incredible work they’ve done in the creative/art space. 🎭🖼️
The standout? Their ‘Artificial Futures’ project for Melbourne Design Week. A website that turns your words into AI art. It’s not just about cool pics though—it’s asking the big question: What world do we want AI to help us design? 🧠⚙️ (If you missed the project, take a look. We’ve popped a link in comments. 👀)
Then, as tradition dictates, we took our newly expanded minds to the Cherry Tree Hotel to wrap up the evening. Which reminds us—whose turn is it to grab the rolls? 🥯🥓🍳
